I remember when I had first heard Copeland is no more.
The day they announced it, I cried.
So thank goodness for this farewell tour, the Asian leg.
First stop: Singapore!

I don't think I have ever loved a band so much more than awesome.
Heartbreakingly-beautiful songs I would die for,
I am almost afraid I would never find any other band like Copeland.
And I am so grateful I saw them live tonight.

The set started off with "Take Care" from one of my favourite albums, Beneath The Medicine Tree and closed with "You Have My Attention", one of my Copeland favourites. From alternative rock numbers to slow melodious acoustics, tonight definitely showcased the band's talents, both with their respective instruments and proving that they can indeed hold their own in a live show. Lead singer Aaron Marsh did not disappoint; his voice soared almost effortlessly and reached deep into my heart in every song he performed. This guy is a genius through and through; the lyrics he writes, the melodies he sings. He brought on the show with his guitar and stopped my breath with the piano. My favourite song has to be "Coffee" and I was so blown away when he sang it live. If I'd always thought what I heard on the album was beautiful, this has got to be so much better it was like a guilty pleasure.

Copeland, as a five-piece tonight, looked like they enjoyed being on stage so much that it made me pause occasionally to think why they would give it up after this. It was such a pity. I'll admit that I don't remember lyrics to probably half of the songs they performed, but each song struck a chord with me and I remember vaguely which albums they were from and when I had heard them.

You have my attention,
Like you’ve had all the while;
Since that first day when you made my heart smile,
With loving eyes and tired sighs that follow.

"Can I shake your hand?"
And he obliged.
A surprise meet-and-greet autograph session right after the concert (:
It was such a honour personally meeting the band behind the music I fell so deeply in love with, I was shaking. Each of them said "Hello" and looked you in the eyes, as if hoping to remember your face in that instant as they gave out autographs. I must say that I don't remember all of them by their names but their sincere and honest appreciation for their fans touched me and I felt such a loss walking off the stage, knowing that I'll no longer have another chance to see them live ever again.

I think I would have given a lot to see them live again.
